This project saw the refurbishment of a 20th century industrial Grade II listed building and transformed it into a mixed-use development which consisted of houses, retail and office space along with 1,500 homes as part of the master plan.


Waverley Project

Project: Waverley Project

Client: Kirklees Council

Value: £6m

Waverley Chambers is a historical Grade II Listed building in Huddersfield which has recently been converted and refurbished into 6 one bedroomed apartments located over 3 floors. Each apartment comprises an open plan Living /kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom complete with shower facilities.

Client: University of Liverpool

Value: £6.1m

Hickton’s Clerk of Works closely monitored this £6.1m, prestigious 125 year old Grade II Listed building refurbishment, which now complete housing 2, 23 tonne CHP engines for the University of Liverpool.


Project: Pioneer House Kirklees Council

Client: Kirlees Council

Value: £8m

Pioneer House is a historical Grade I listed building located in Dewsbury Town Centre. This project saw the development of a cluster of 6 properties with the aim to create a small living community in the town.


Project: The Piece Hall & Library

Client: The Calderdale Council

Value: Over £25m

The Piece Hall and New Halifax Central Library and Archive Project represents a major investment by Calderdale Council. The project, with a value of over £25m, will see a significant regeneration of central Halifax, the largest town in Calderdale.
