Aberdeen International Business Park

Project: Aberdeen International Business Park

Value: £80m

Our Building Clerks of Works monitored the quality of this project from start to completion. Now completed this £80m development has created an excellent state-of-the-art office accommodation with a range of different facilities including restaurants, cafes, a gym, sports halls, shopping facilitates and a generous car park.

 
 Aldgate Tower

Aldgate Tower provides brand new state of the art £74.5m Grade A office facilities which our Building, Mechanical and Electrical Clerk of Works inspected to unsure it achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. The main facades are clad with a fully glazed, full height aluminum framed curtain wall system. Solar control is provided by soft coatings to all the glazing. Two 11KVA ring main units provide electricity to the building supplemented by a roof mounted photo-voltaic (PV) cell electrical generation system. A solar thermal heating system was installed and will pre-heat the domestic water service prior to heating by gas fired water heaters.

Rail Operation Centre and Training Facility

This £24m development, more commonly known as the ‘engineers triangle’ just outside of York saw the transformation of the Rail Operations Centre meaning it now controls all rail operations on the east coast lines. They also constructed a new Training Facility which provides affective modern training services to all existing and potential Network Rail staff.

Client: Blackburn & Co

This 9,800sqm scheme provides a mixture of retail and office spaces. The ground floor provides 1,850sqm of retail space, there is also 7,950sqm of fully fitted out category ‘A’ offices across the remaining seven floors, with two floors of roof terraces. The project achieved a BREEAM excellent environmental standard due to the use of sustainable approaches throughout the construction phase and the installation of solar panels on the building’s green roof.

Value: £85.7m

The development is a mix of office, residential, retail and leisure space with a multi-storey car park to service it. The entire development is part of a masterplan and will be one of the largest city-based business quarters in Europe; servicing approximately 13,000 employees. Our involvement is on buildings 3, 7 and 8 and will include one 7 storey and two 8 storey office buildings with a combined internal area of 46,642 m2 and underground car park.
