Senior management promotions to sustain business growth

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), there is a national downturn of work in construction by 3%, despite these national statistics we continue to grow our business with healthy profit margins and tender enquiries that are 20% up on budget during the first quarter.

Operating within the construction industry for over 27 years, our management and operational teams continue to work hard to sustain and manage our growth. Because of this we would like to announce two promotions within our Barnsley Head Office team.

Resource Manager Jonathan King has been with our company for three years+ and now takes on the role of Operations Manager. He is now responsible for the resource and service delivery with improved co-ordination of profitability for the inspection work undertaken across both Hickton and BRCS (Building Control) Ltd, which has a combined turnover of £4.3m.

With over 90 Quality Site Inspectors located across the UK and 150 active projects, Jon and his team are integrating resources for both businesses as more Quality Site Inspectors are utilised across both businesses.

Bid Manager Laura Bradshaw takes on the role as Commercial Manager looking at the overall commercial success of both Hickton and BRCS. Laura joined the company as Bid Manager five years ago and has since grown her team and achieved excellent results with 59% repeat business figure. Laura and her team will be responsible for the bids, tendering, appointments, warranties and PI compliance for both Hickton and BRCS.

‘Congratulations to both Jon and Laura who will have an integral part in assisting with the future management of our businesses. I’d also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the rest of the teams in both businesses who have worked incredibly hard to create our unique service in this industry and that should reap benefits for everyone in years to come.’

–  Managing Director, Tony Mobbs

Hickton Holdings acquired BRCS—an Approved Building Control body in May last year to offer a truly unique inspection service to our clients. This combined service together with the restructuring of management, resourcing and operations means that we are in a strong position to champion Quality and Compliance in UK construction for many years to come.
