We are delighted to announce that we can now offer the services of Corporate Approved Inspectors following the acquisition Hickton Holdings made on 18th May 2017 of BRCS (Building Control) Ltd which is based in Chelmsford, Essex.
BRCS is a leading provider of Building Control services nationally, and for the directors of BRCS and the current team who all remain in post, it will be business as usual. They are driven by the desire to improve standards across the UK construction industry; the same values as Hickton. Their services will be offered as complementary to the Clerk of Works role performed by Hickton already, which involves the independent inspection of quality on construction sites.
BRCS was established in 1996 and was one of the first three private sector Building Control bodies authorised by the Department of the Environment for non-residential projects.
The acquisition of BRCS complements Hickton’s strategy of broadening their services into complementary inspection areas and it is expected that both businesses, and our collective clients, will benefit from the relationship moving forward.
