We are excited to be undertaking Quality Site Inspections for the build of a brand new £7.5m school located in Bowburn, County Durham. The build has been commissioned to address a shortfall of pupil spaces and will increase the capacity to facilitate the learning of 570 pupils and a 70-place nursery unit.
The modern two-storey building has been cleverly designed by Ryder Architecture to maximise light and volume within its classroom facilities, it also includes external learning spaces, outdoor play equipment, car parking and safe drop off/pick up zones.
Our long-standing client, Faithful and Gould appointed us to oversee the Quality and safety of work on behalf of Durham County Council. Our Clerk of Work has been making sure that the building plans and specifications are being followed correctly. It is anticipated that the project will be completed towards the end of March, following 54 weeks of Quality Site Inspections.
