We announced in March this year that Hickton Group Ltd has successfully expanded its service portfolio by incorporating two further businesses – Cook Brown Building Control Ltd and Cook Brown Energy Ltd, providing a multi-disciplinary service of Quality, Compliance and Sustainability for clients.
Prior to this significant development, Hickton Group – the shareholder to now four businesses – provided Quality Site Inspection services via Hickton Consultants Ltd (trading as Hickton Quality Control) and Building Control Compliance via BRCS (Building Control) Ltd, who are an Approved Inspector operating across England and Wales.
The enhanced Group structure – which has evolved during a global pandemic – has already enabled us to continue our ambition to be a leading multi-disciplinary provider of quality inspection and consultancy services in the construction sector and already we have seen positive results throughout 2020.
Collectively as a Group, we are operating across eleven office locations with 160 employees, with over 8,300 live projects on-site and a turnover of £7.6m. This growth has been achieved through careful strategic planning, financial budgeting and forecasting, by both Director and Management teams who have continued to effectively collaborate to remain fully operational on site wherever possible, and to sustain further growth for the remainder of 2020.
Clients are now appointing Group services on their construction projects to oversee Quality through on-site supervision and reporting and are instructing individual businesses to provide Building Control services, in addition to Energy consultancy services such as SAP and SBEM assessments. Hotel and Hospitality clients are just some of the first sectors to have benefited from our all-encompassing joint service provided by the Group.
