Charity Run to support under privileged school children

Good luck to one of our Clerks of Works, Tommy Savin and his 15-year-old son, who are both participating in the ‘Run the River 2018’ charity run this year in London to raise money for under privileged school children in association with Teach First.

Tommy Savin is one of our Building Clerk of Works who has been working with us for over 2 years and is currently working on a new, high-profile stadium in London. Other projects that he has worked on include Grade II listed Building for Westminster Council, Stratford Shopping Centre, Network Rail and The Halo Tower project in London.

All children deserve a brilliant education, regardless of their circumstances and Teach First – a charity working for equality of education in England and Wales, are dedicated to finding and developing great people to become inspiring teachers and leaders in schools serving disadvantaged communities. We also have a link with Teach First, as Tim Mobbs, the eldest son of our Managing Director, works for them in providing their worthwhile service.

‘Run the River 2018’ will commence and finish at Tower Bridge in London and runners will run past iconic sights along the River Thames such as the Tower of London, The Gherkin, St Pauls Cathedral, Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

If anyone would like to make a donation, they can do so by clicking onto the fundraising page here.

We wish them both the very best of luck!
