Grade A Office Development – Unity Square, Nottingham

We are pleased to be working with real estate advisors, Avison Young, providing Clerks of Works services on the Nottingham Southside gateway development, Unity Square which is a major scheme in the City.

The scheme, which is developed by Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities Ltd, will be home to HMRC’s 13th regional centre and is proceeding at pace, having commenced on the two-year build in March this year.

The 1.14-hectare site in Queensbridge Road – opposite Nottingham train station – will comprise two buildings totaling 677,605 sq. ft. (62,022 sq. m) of office space. HMRC has entered into a 25-year lease on Phase 1, which is being forward funded by Legal & General (L&G), accommodating around 4,000 of HMRC’s full-time equivalent employees.

The work is being undertaken by Bowmer + Kirkland. 5Plus Architects’ Manchester office is leading the design team, which includes BWB Consulting Engineers, Couch Perry Wilkes (M&E) and WYG.

Unity Square is seen as a cornerstone of Nottingham City Council’s vision for the city’s Southside.
