Located at London’s iconic London Bridge opposite the stunning 95-storey skyscraper, The Shard, is the newly transformed Science Gallery. Appointed by our long-standing client of over 5 years – Lendlease, we have successfully delivered this innovative gallery providing Building Clerks of Works services and handed over to the end client – King’s College London.
Packed with history, this 18th century building was originally part of Guy’s Hospital Gallery, now a part of King’s College London. With building work having commenced in Spring 2016, the former Boland House is now a spectacular site, complimented by the restored public Georgian Courtyard at its doorstep to welcome visitors and to allow the public to bask in the city’s buzzing street sights enjoying a hot drink at the ground floor café as well as a shop space.
In addition to the ground floor amenities, the gallery also consists of a new exhibition space on the first floor with circa 500m2 for the seasonal exhibits which are housed in the gallery. The work also consists of a theatre in the basement with 150 seats to accommodate meeting space and events for private hire.
