The Audley Group acquired a site to build 155 luxury retirement properties and to restore a Grade II* listed Tudor Manor House to form Audley Stanbridge Earls luxury retirement village in Romsey.
The development is situated within 32 acres of natural woodland, open meadows and ornamental lakes, and just minutes from the market town of Romsey in the Test Valley area of Hampshire, offering a perfect location for peace and tranquillity.
At the centre of the village, the Tudor Mansion House, has been refurbished, and this along with a nearby building becomes the Audley Club, which offers owners a private health club, swimming pool, library, restaurant and bar/bistro. Formerly a private home, the mansion is rumoured to have been once occupied by Saxon Royalty, and the site has been owned by numerous families until it was redeveloped in 1952 as a boarding school.
People over the age of 60 can buy and own their own homes and experience an independent lifestyle but with additional benefits. All properties and gardens are maintained on their behalf by the Audley Villages and owners also have access to private health care which is provided in the comfort of their own homes from Audley Care.
We are appointed to provide Building and M&E Clerks of Works services across the two-phase project for the development of retirement properties, restoration of the Tudor Manor House and external landscaping.
“We are delighted to have provided our Quality Site Inspection services on multiple retirement village projects on behalf of Audley Group over recent years. This is an amazing project and provides an alternative care option for the owners.”
