Project Description:
The Sheffield Children’s Hospital project delivered a new-build, four-storey, reinforced concrete frame hospital wing with under ground car parking, as well as the refurbishment of the adjacent existing wing and the rebuild of a Victorian villa. The new-build incorporates x-ray suites, an MRI scanner room, a reception and outpatients department and state-of-the-art hospital wards and consultation rooms. To accommodate the needs of the growing community in and around Sheffield, the project is set to undergo extensions around every 10 years.
Services undertaken (Scope/RIBA stages):
Our Clerks of Works worked closely with the site team, establishing excellent working relationships to ensure consistent quality, while retaining an independent view as the client’s ‘eyes and ears’ on site. Clerk of Works services included weekly reports on quality and progress.
