We are delighted to have been presented with a 30 years’ salute to business by the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.
On Friday, 12th November several members of our team attended the Chamber’s Celebration for Business event, where four businesses across South Yorkshire were acknowledged for their years in service, and their annual charity was announced as Rotherham and Barnsley Mind, who received a £3,000 donation.
Assistant Commercial Director, Laura Bradshaw proudly accepted the 30 years’ Salute to Business on behalf of Hickton Quality Control and founder Tony Hickton, who started the business at his home in Elsecar. The business has run under the leadership of Tony Mobbs for the last five years, who has ensured that the company’s business values, and attitude, has remained that of a family run business.
“I am delighted that this business has grown over the last three decades into a well-known national business providing sustained livings to many local people over the years. Recent additions to the original business have expanded the services which all still stem around quality in the built environment. Our services range from Clerk of Works to Approved Inspectors, Gas and Electrical Audits and Energy Consultancy for Sustainable developments.”
Chairman, Tony Mobbs
Hickton Group was also commended as part of the ‘Presidents Recognition’. This special recognition identifies businesses within the Sheffield City region who had to adapt, modernise, and show leadership in their industry and community in the face of the global pandemic.
