Resource & Development Co-Ordinator

LOCATION: Office based at Amber Court, 51 Church Street, Elsecar, Barnsley, S74 8HT
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

 

Hickton Quality Control is the UK’s largest provider of Clerk of Works services. Based within our Head
Office in South Yorkshire, we require an ambitious and organised individual to manage all client
enquiries and potential opportunities from inception to the contract renewal strategy stage.
Hickton Quality Control is seeking a motivated and organised Resource & Development Co-ordinator to
join our dynamic Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the pipeline of
resourcing is secured, keeping up to date with market trends to ensure our job packages are
competitive and relevant. The candidate will be responsible for the competence of the on site team,
working closely with the resource team to identify gaps in competence and work on strategy to
improve this.

Roles and responsibilities

+ To act as the first point of contact for all on site staff applicants
+ Liaise with the resource team regarding their recruitment needs. Work with the forecast and
Head of operations to ensure pipeline of clerks is strategically planned.
+ Assist, alongside the marketing team, with the drafting of job descriptions adverts and
posting vacancies on social media.
+ Keep up to date internal ‘CV library’ and keep in continual contact with all clerks, active and
prospective
+ Sourcing new Clerk of Works and interviewing them (with technical support). Checking CV
Library, Indeed and LinkedIn for new clerks.
+ Arrange interviews for potential Clerk of Works.
+ To produce and distribute all on-boarding documentation for new starters.
+ Ensuring inductions and audits are carried out for new starters
+ Create and maintain all the documentation for the onboarding process
+ Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts (HR support)
+ Assess performance of Clerk of Works and carry out appraisals
+ Support all new clerks throughout the first 3 months of their Hickton career before handing
over to regional resource manager
+ Managing rates agreed with on-site staff supported by our commercial team
+ Manage the recruitment process across Hickton Quality Control to ensure the workforce
suits workload levels.
+ Update monthly KPI’s on report
+ Create development opportunities for the existing clerks to ensure that competence within
the team matchings the need
+ Support existing clerks with training needs to ensure the quality of our performance on site
+ Stay to date with the market to ensure we are competitive and relevant in our job packages
+ Keep up to date and develop the competence matrix to support quality on site
