The privately owned hotel was greatly in need of upgrading and the £1.2m investment has profoundly transformed the hotel’s 35 rooms, spa and pool area into a highly desirable place to stay.
As a leading Quality Site Inspection company, we provided an Independent Inspection to ensure the highest level of quality had been achieved throughout the refurbishment works checking for quality workmanship and correct usage of materials to champion Quality for all stakeholders.

This £12m project saw the refurbishment of a 20th century industrial Grade II listed building and transformed it into a mixed-use development which consisted of houses, retail and office space along with 1,500 homes as part of the master plan. To learn more, click here.
We were involved during the final construction and the fit-out stage of this hotel development which was built directly over the Tower of London tube station. With 370 luxury rooms over 10 floors, it is the biggest hotel citizenM have built to date. The project has an individual, modern style with hundreds of pieces of art incorporated into the scheme; driven by the end client who is an art collector.
We provided Clerk of Works services on this eight storey hotel with 216 pre-fabricated rooms, lobby, living rooms, canteen and large balcony overlooking Shoreditch. We have built up a strong working relationship with CitizenM and also carried out our services on their Tower of London hotel development.
We were appointed by Warrington Borough Council to provide Clerk of Works services at Walton Hall and Gardens, to restore and revitalise the existing conservatory, glasshouses and shippon building – transforming the site into a community hub providing educational, retail, office and workshop space.
The brickwork was generally in very good condition, with more than 90% of the bricks on site today originally dating from 1899-1910. The walls were dismantled brick by brick, cleaned, assessed for damage and rebuilt. The original lime mortar was analysed and a similar lime mortar used, to allow any moisture to leave the walls through the mortar rather than damaging the bricks. To learn more, click here.
