Project Description:

Aldgate Tower provides brand new state of the art £74.5M Grade A office facilities which our Building, Mechanical & Electrical Clerks of Works inspected to ensure it achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. The main facades are clad with a fully glazed, full height aluminium framed curtain wall system. Solar control is provided by soft coatings to all the glazing. Two 11KVA ring main units provide electricity to the building supplemented by a roof mounted photo-voltaic (PV) cell electrical generation system. A solar thermal heating system was installed and will pre-heat the domestic water service prior to heating by gas fired water heaters.

 

Nottingdale Village

Once the site of historic Olympic games in 1908, we provided Building Inspection Services and Waterproofing Inspections to the new Nottingdale Village, which forms part of a wider redevelopment of the local area to create a localised creative hub. Hosting a mix of retail, commercial and housing to the rear, it was also shortlisted for The Concrete Awards in May 2019.

The Courthouse, Deansgate

Project Description:

This Grade II listed building was converted to provide 13,320 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation in 2013. Now complete the unique £22m building also houses a number of leisure complexes such as restaurants and shops.

NUM Headquarters, Sheffield

Client: McBains

Employed directly by McBains – national property and construction consultants, we provided Quality Site inspection services for the former National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Building in Sheffield city centre, which now stands as a striking commercial project in Sheffield.

The building was constructed in 1987 and was the NUM Headquarters for four years and then stood empty for more than 25 years. The 5.5m renovation scheme, which was funded through a collaboration between CBRE, the Sheffield City Region JESSICA Fund and Sheffield City Council’s Growing Places Fund, has transformed the building into striking new commercial premises for Sheffield.

Our Site Inspector monitored the quality of this project from start to completion. Now completed this £80M development has created an excellent state-of-the-art office accommodation with a range of different facilities including restaurants, cafes, a gym, sports halls, shopping facilitates and a generous car park.

Wellington Place

Client: Gardiner & Theobald

The development is a mix of office, residential, retail & leisure space with a multi-storey car park to service it. The entire development is part of a masterplan & will be one of the largest city-based business quarters in Europe; servicing approximately 13,000 employees. Our involvement is on buildings 3, 7 and 8 & will include one 7 storey & two 8 storey office buildings with a combined internal area of 46,642 m2 & underground car park.
