Project: Sheffield Children’s Hospital

Client: Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

The Sheffield Children’s Hospital project delivered a new-build, four-storey, reinforced concrete frame hospital wing with under ground car parking, as well as the refurbishment of the adjacent existing wing and the rebuild of a Victorian villa. The new-build incorporates x-ray suites, an MRI scanner room, a reception and outpatients department and state-of-the-art hospital wards and consultation rooms. To accommodate the needs of the growing community in and around Sheffield, the project is set to undergo extensions around every 10 years.


Project: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

Client: Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust

We have worked on a number of projects at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, the most recent being on the refurbishment of 6 and the creation of 1 additional new Theatre. Previously we have worked on a number of ward refurbishments.

West Cumberland Hospital

Project: West Cumberland Hospital

Client: North Cumbria University Hospital

This £90m redevelopment of West Cumberland Hospital saw the biggest single investment into healthcare for West Cumbria in over half a century. The proposals involve a mixture of new build and refurbishment. The new buildings are three storeys in height with some rooftop plant areas. The new build accommodation comprises an urgent care centre, radiology department, minor ops facilities, endoscopy department, medical investigations unit, outpatient facilities, acute assessment centre, coronary care unit, intensive care unit, 6 theatre operating suite, neo natal, paediatric out-patient and in-patient facility, special care bay unit, delivery suite, wards, canteen, café and main entrance area.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Project: Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Client: Turner and Townsend

We provided inspections on works already undertaken at the Hospital as it was not of a high standard. Due to our inspections and recommendations the Queen Elizabeth Hospital successfully opened their new state of the art £12m Pathology Labs.


Project: Project Capella

Client: Arcadis

We provided NEC 3 services for Project Capella, which is the delivery of a new laboratory building, to be constructed for the University of Cambridge within the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The intention is to establish an international centre of excellence for this research, furthering understanding and providing a foundation for the development of new medical treatments.


Project Gemma

Project: Project Gemma

Client: Arcadis

We provided NEC 3 services for this project. Project Gemma was a five-storey clinical research facility development including a basement and rooftop plant for the University of Cambridge. Each floor of the development had a different purpose meaning our Clerks of Works had to be diligent with their inspections and prior to staring on-site gained a full and robust understanding of the project.
