We are delighted to be working in York, a famous northern city renowned for its quality heritage buildings and Grade I ancient monument City Walls. We are appointed on the Hudson Quarter, a mixed use residential and commercial redevelopment site in the city centre with a value in excess of £60m.
The Hudson Quarter project is a short walk from York’s railway station and is a redevelopment of the former 1960’s office building of Network Rail, known as Hudson House, which has now been demolished. There will be a sensitively designed scheme of 127 quality apartments in 3 blocks, and a single office block forming a central courtyard amenity. Works commenced in early 2019 with an expected duration of 2 years.
We are working on behalf of our client Palace Capital (Developments) Limited, to provide Quality Site Inspection services throughout all stages of construction to oversee the Building and M&E elements.
“Having competent Clerks of Works on site to oversee the quality is very important and their independent inspection expertise is an essential part of delivering a high-quality project. It is great to be utilising the skills provided by the team at Hickton.”
